Pasadena Soft Story: Now Is The Time

In 2019, the City of Pasadena passed Ordinance No. 7345 that will require owners of Soft-Story building structures to complete a seismic retrofit. Affected Property Owners will have milestones they need to reach, known as the Time Period for Compliance:

Owner is required to Submit Screening Form within One (1) year from Notice to Owner

Owner is required to file Retrofit Plans and Obtain Permit within 3 years of Notice to Owner

Owner is required to Complete Construction within 7 years of Notice to Owner
